Hi, if you’ve entered this blog page you obviously want to learn more about piano.  But it’s not just about finding a website to help you learn piano, is it?  It’s about finding the right person to teach you.  Someone who can help you break it all down and figure out what works and why.  Through my fun webcam blogs and writings, I’ll be using my years of piano training and teaching experience to make you the fantastic musician you’ve always wanted to be!

Background:

Charissa has studied piano since the age of 4.  She has completed 13 years of private study.  She is classically trained and has performed in many settings including weddings, solo performances, and as a state-wide piano finalist at Northrup Auditorium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Charissa has passed 5 levels (6 total) of music theory examinations with the Minnesota Music Teachers Association (MMTA), who also awarded her a Certificate of Excellence for service as a piano accompanist.  Charissa received a B.F.A. degree from Millikin University and has been teaching piano privately for 8 years.  Charissa is a member of the Music Teacher’s National Association and the California Association of Professional Music Teachers.
